During the last day we visited the gorge of Patsos, which is situated south of the city of Rethymnon. The gorge is a natural wild beauty. In the first lower part of the gorge we walked along a small river bank and over some dry parts as well. Half way from a higher plateau we admired a breathtaking view over the whole gorge. In months May and June the water in some parts of the gorge reaches at chest high, but in November it is still all right and safe to walk. The whole walking time of a comfortable route we followed was about 2 hours including a few stops.

After the walk at the gorge we went to the village of Patsos, which happens the village where the Head of the School Mr Stratis Kourkoulos comes from and we visited a "raki distillation place" where we had dinner, drunk some raki, sang and danced.

Efi and Markos are happy to see each other ... Markos is our x-Head of the School, retired this year.

OK .. let's start preparing the food ...

Some chops are ready ... so Nektarios & Ivan are eating, the hard way! Konstantina looks a bit puzzled ...
